An introduction

With the advent of the digital age, the continuation of the death of newspapers and a growing percentage of the population taking up "Citizen Journalism," the face of news is changing. 

This was to be expected; folks would rather turn to the internet to get their daily news than buy the paper version of essentially the same thing. 

Unfortunately for the media and the corporations that own them, this means lower profits than in previous years. Even more unfortunately: small-town newspapers and student journalism efforts are dwindling.

The Edmond, OK tri-high school publication "The Ruff Draft" - for years one of the most dominant student newspapers in the state in terms of content - has decided to add an internet option to their printed material. The website, which aims for a September launch in time for the release of the 09-10 school year's first issue, will include all of the stories featured in the paper, as well as extra stories, reviews, opinion and extended sports coverage.
